The Asian Minnesotan Economy is an estimated $18 billion and includes $8 billion in income and $18 billion in residential real estate. They pay close to an estimated $1 billion in state and local taxes. Asian Minnesotan renters pay $33 million in monthly rental payments to property owners. The 15000 + Asian Minnesotan businesses pay an estimated $700 million in annual payroll and employ more than 27,000 Minnesotans. There are 138,000 Asian Americans in the local workforce and 88,000 youth in the educational system. The rich cultural capital is reflected in Little Mekong business and cultural district in Saint Paul.
